What a full detail actually is

Hand wash
Every nook and cranny. No tunnel, no brushes, no shortcuts.

Engine bay and wheels
Engine bay steamed. Wheels, wheel wells and everything down low get a full deep clean.

Polish and seal
Paint polished, then sealed with a six-month ceramic sealant so it stays that way.

Inside
Steamed, shampooed and conditioned. Never dirty dressings. Clean conditioning with UV protection.
Paint correction, when a polish is not enough
- Every full and exterior detail includes a polish. Light swirls come out and the gloss comes up, then the six-month sealant goes on.
- A correction is the deeper cut. Compound first, then polish, panel by panel under the hex lights. Swirl marks, wash marring, light scratches and water spots.
- Quoted on the car. Ryan reads the paint and gives you the number before anything touches it. Heavy correction is an upcharge you hear about first.
- Built into every ceramic coating. Feynlab locks in whatever is under it, so the correction comes first on every coated car.

Carlos3 years agoPicture this: my car was practically an homage to my four-legged friends, shedding fur, dragging in dirt, and slobbering all over the place at every opportunity before and after a visit to the dog parks, rivers, and trails. Enter the car detailing wizards at Dutchman. I strolled in with my car looking like a canine convention had taken place in the back seat (it is our dog car in somewhat of a dog town). I half-expected Ryan to throw his hands up in surrender when he got to the back seats, but they apparently just grinned and said, "Challenge accepted!" These folks were ready to tackle my fur-coated and slobber lined Jetta. Let me tell you, the team at Dutchman didn't just wave a magic wand – they brought out the heavy-duty dog hair arsenal! I'm convinced they summoned a fur-eating vacuum cleaner from another dimension. I almost felt sorry for the fur that had taken up residence in my car; it never stood a chance. By the time they were done, my car's interior was so clean, my Bassets would wonder if this was the same car! But wait, there's more! I had sprinkler spots that seemed to multiply on my car's exterior like bunnies. Well, Dutchman wasn’t having any of that nonsense. They wiped away those spots like they were erasing a crime scene from a John Wick movie – no evidence left behind! Now, let's talk about the engine compartment. I'm convinced these detailers have a secret mission to make every car's engine bay sparkle like it's competing in a beauty pageant. I half-expected to see my engine sporting a tiara by the time they were done. They somehow managed to turn an oily mess into a spotless masterpiece. I wouldn't be surprised if my car's engine now qualifies as a tourist attraction in this town - like everything else (am I right?). If you're in need of a car detailing, look no further.

- How much does a full detail cost in Bend, Oregon?
- $485 for a sedan or midsize and $585 for a truck or SUV, inside and out. Booking the intensive interior ($300) and the exterior ($295 on a truck) separately costs more, so the full detail is the better buy if the whole car needs it.
- What is included in a full vehicle detail?
- A hand wash, every nook and cranny. The engine bay steam cleaned. Wheels, wheel wells and everything down low deep cleaned. The paint polished and sealed with a six-month ceramic sealant. Inside, everything steamed, shampooed and conditioned with clean UV-protectant dressings, never the greasy stuff.
- How long does a detail take?
- Most cars are 5 to 7 hours and go home the same day. Drop it in the morning, pick it up clean in the afternoon. There is a waiting room if you would rather stay.
- Do you offer mobile detailing in Bend?
- No. Everything happens at the shop, with steam, water and lighting that do not fit in a van. We are at 1420 NE 1st St Unit F, Bend, OR 97701, in the Orchard District, and the number is (541) 588-4677.
- Can you do just the interior?
- Yes. The intensive interior detail is $300 and a light interior detail starts at $165. If the seats need to come out to do it right, we decide that with the car in front of us, not over the phone.
- My dog rides in the car. Can you get the hair out?
- Yes. Pet hair removal is a $65 add-on to any interior or full detail.
- Do you do paint correction?
- Every full and exterior detail includes a polish. Real multi-stage paint correction, the kind that takes out years of swirls and scratches, is quoted on the car and is usually done under a ceramic coating so the finish stays fixed.
